課程主要目標為培養學生科技論文寫作之能力。內容包括期刊論文各章節之組織架構及語言特色，與學術英文中字彙及文法層次的各種重要用法。課程設計則針對研究所學生從事科技研究，將研究成果撰寫成技術報告、碩博士論文、以及期刊論文等之需求。
