1-Credit Course of the Continuing Education Center of
National Yang Ming Chia Tung University (NYCU)
12th International Summer Course on Emergent Functional Matter Science will feature six distinguished professors from the Chemistry Departments of the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University as invited lecturers: Prof. Hiroshi Imahori, Prof. Kenji Matsuda, Prof. Hideo Ohkita, Prof. Ryu Abe, Prof. Yoshiaki Nakao, and Prof. Kazuo Tanaka. This initiative aims to strengthen international collaboration between Kyoto University and the faculty at NYCU. Each of the six invited speakers will deliver lectures covering a broad range of fundamental and advanced topics in chemistry, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, photochemistry, photophysical chemistry, and energy conversion. Their lectures will begin with a tutorial introduction and proceed to highlight recent advances and cutting-edge research from their respective fields.
The course will also feature student presentation sessions with participants from both Kyoto University and NYCU, offering an excellent platform for students to interact, exchange ideas, and establish lasting academic connections. Organized by the Department of Applied Chemistry and the Center for Emergent Functional Matter Science (CEFMS) at NYCU, the course has now been officially incorporated into the curriculum of the NYCU Continuing Education Center. Students who attend all sessions will earn one academic credit. We believe this International Summer Course will be highly beneficial for graduate students and young researchers, providing them with a solid foundation in fundamental concepts, methodologies, and recent innovations in next-generation materials science.
